A lovely day

Why do we love going to wine country so much?

Is it because it’s the one place where it’s totally socially acceptable to down three flutes of bubbles before noon?

Black-eyed Susans

Because you’re wandering fields of wildflowers?

Or surveying infinite rows of grapevines?

Is it because you’re usually with your very best friends?

Leaving Larksmead

Ducking into quaint farmhouses.

Tasty tasting

Sipping from expensive stemware.

And learning a bit of what could only qualify as magic?

Handstands with sculpture

Or is it simply because a little wine makes you feel like a kid again?

Liz and her giant glass

Whatever it is, that’s my toast to wine country.

My vote would be for “the conspicuous absence of lower income minorities.”

    Perfectly captured.

Duh, that’s why it’s called “white wine.”
