Reading and eating. Things we do every day. Things you may in fact be doing right now. But only one Los Angeles event combines them so gracefully into one tasty happening. Hot Dish is kind of like a literary potluck, with several courses of satisfying stories and comforting foods served up by famous and soon-to-be famous writers. In fact, that lady up there? That’s the lovely Margaret Wappler at a previous Hot Dish.
I’m honored to be reading at next week’s Hot Dish, on Wednesday, April 11 at 8:00pm at 826 LA in Echo Park. I’ll be joined by an incredible roster of writers including Brad Listi, Lenore Zion, Summer Block Kumar, and J. Ryan Stradal. I’ll be bringing a dish that is in some (possibly abstract) way themed with my story, which is about walking in LA. It also may or may not be hot.
So come hungry. RSVP on Facebook. Admission is $5 and any proceeds go to benefit the formidable reading and writing programs of 826 LA.
I will see you (and feed you) there.
