After the rain

Dark clouds

We had an incredible rainstorm here last Friday, complete with thunder and lightning. At the end of it, I was excited to get out in the mushy streets, and spent an hour walking through Silver Lake just as the sun went down. It’s a Silver Lake you don’t often get to see: the streets flushed clean, little golden hour jewels highlighting the trees, the bright, quirky shapes of modern architecture against the ominous clouds of the lifting storm.

These are really beautiful. I felt the walking. I felt the rain’s aftermath. Thanks for these.
