Seeing the city from the ground up

The jungle-like sidewalks of West Hollywood.

As longtime readers of this blog are well-aware, one of my favorite parts about walking around Los Angeles is documenting its little moments as witnessed from the pedestrian’s perspective. So I was very excited when Los Angeles Magazine—for whom I wrote an article a few months ago about living car-free in LA—tapped me to write a weekly series sharing those moments with their audience.

My A Walker in L.A. stories will be posted on their CityThink blog every Wednesday, joining many of my local heroes like Chris Nichols and Nathan Masters. Here’s the link to the first one, where I discovered a secret arbor in West Hollywood. Follow along at @LA_mag on Twitter and tag your own photos #betteroffped
